Two Days in Paris

2 Days In Paris follows two days in the relationship of a New York based couple; a French photographer Marion and American interior designer Jack-as they attempt to re-infuse their relationship with romance by taking a vacation in Europe. Their trip to Venice didn't really work out,--they both came down with gastroenteritis. They have higher hopes for Paris. But the combination of Marion's overbearing non-English speaking parents', flirtatious ex-boyfriends', and Jack's obsession with photographing every famous Parisian tombstone and conviction that French condoms are too small, only adds fuel to the fire. Will they be able to salvage their relationship?

45 out of 100  90 minutes of pleasure
Mark from Dublin, 11 Feb 2009
The unofficial third film in the 'Before Sunset' and 'Before Sunrise' series of films. This is a real pleasure and marks Julie Delpy as a real talent as writer and director. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. I also think Julie Delpy's real Dad (who cameoed as her neighbour in 'Before Sunset') plays her father in this. Adam Goldberg is fabulous as her husband. French taxi drivers must have really annoyed Julie Delpy over the years! Enjoy with a date.

I found adam goldberg's charecter really unlikeable. i just couldnt warm to him.the storyline was good but it might have portrayed the french as a bit sex obsessed & inappropriate though..the idea behind the movie was good though and if only i liked adam goldberg more i might have thoroughly enjoyed it....

40 out of 100  Very entertaining
Louis from Dublin, 05 Jan 2008
A bit soppy at times, sincerity with a high embarrassment factor. But gets increasingly funny as it goes along and manages, at times, to be quite hilarious. Great cameos of various Parisian taxi-drivers & a brilliant turn by a crazy anti-globalist anarchist/arsonist (neatly tieing up a plot-line mentioned early in the film). Good craic!

35 out of 100  A bit over the top

Interesting move which holds your attention, especially where the intercultural interactions display a sense of humour and sensitivity. The overall the movie leaves the impression that the only sense of humour that the French are capable are crude and vulgar.

Julie Delpy writes, stars and directs this dark comedy. This film is dialogue driven as seen in Delpy's previous films. See it if you liked Before sunrise and Before sunset.
