40 out of 100  Surprisingly Good
Eamon from Meath, 16 Nov 2010
I really enjoyed this, despite it getting fairly average reviews. Very bloody and it rains a lot, but this is much more watchable than I expected.

Very entertaining watch. Surprisingly excellent effects and good fighting scenes- a little bit on the gory side so great fun all round!!

40 out of 100  Gory Myth and Magic
Lyn from Cork, 09 Jul 2010
This has a great cast, a reasonable story and good special effects. Some of it was too gory for me but I stuck with it because the acting was so good. It has elements of Lord of the Rings and fantasy films in general where the dark seeks to overpower the light. Well worth a watch if you're not too squeamish.

15 out of 100  No wonder the movie yielded only half the costs
Stefan from Westmeath, 10 Jul 2011
Well..There was everything in... Ghosts, the devil, an evil brother... Seemed they put a dozen movies into a big blender... I would be angry if I actually had purchased the movie... But as a filler in here.. it was ok.. Advise: Play it at 1.5 speed... you waste less time :)

20 out of 100  Escapism
Gary from Dublin, 13 Aug 2010
This movie is a bit of an escape. I thought it was very poor and the finale was very disappointing. Looks like the cash was blown with the special fx at the end and the writers sold their souls by getting a donkey to finish the script.

35 out of 100  Solomon Kane.
Alan from Dublin, 27 Jan 2011
This is an enjoyable fantasy horror film set in the 1600's. The special effects are really well done and add to the story, the only down point would be the disappointing ending.

40 out of 100  Enjoyable
Martina from Tipperary, 10 Nov 2010
Enjoyable movie, good acting, good story. Not too deep just very entertaining for a night in. Defo has a Lord of the Rings feel. Fantasy and gore are the main elements.
