For sheer pageantry and spectacle, few motion pictures can claim to equal the splendour of Cecil B. DeMille´s 1956 remake of his epic "The Ten Commandments", which follows the life story of Moses, played to perfection by CHARLTON HESTON (Planet of the Apes, Ben-Hur, Airport, Waynes World 2). NINA FOCH (Strange Affair, An American in Paris, Spartacus) is Bithiah, the Princess who rescues Moses and YUL BRYNNER (The King & I, Anastasia, Solomon & Sheba, The Magnificent Seven) is Rameses. The film also features a rare appearance by director Cecil B. DeMille. Beautifully produced and choreographed, 12,000 extras and 15,000 animals were used during the filming. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS is an epic of it´s time and is probably still one of the biggest productions in motion picture history.
