Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit
| |
| With an upbringing spent learning the Bible, praying for "heathens in hot countries", and listening to her mother's favourite radio show, 'The Jim Reeves Devotional Selection', Jess (Coleman) unnerves both classmates and teachers when she begins school. One girl is totally distraught when Jess informs her that she'll not be able to use a proper toilet in hell. When she grows up, Jess meets Melanie, and what begins as a simple friendship soon turns to passion. On discovering the truth about their relationship, her horrified mother (McEwan) and local Pastor (Cranham) believe these 'unnatural lusts' to be the work of the devil, and decide extreme measures are necessary if she is to be saved...

I was surprised it was good.

It was a mini series, so, it was a lot longer than I hoped for (2 hr.45min.), but worth a watch.
